Job Summary / Purpose Golden Pass is seeking a Maintenance Superintendent with a minimum of fifteen years of related experience in oil, gas, or chemical manufacturing facilities with at least ten years of supervisory experience.
The Maintenance Superintendent will be responsible for the safe, efficient maintenance and reliability of Terminal facilities, measurement practices, and compliance with safety and environmental policies.
The Superintendent will be responsible for developing strategies, work plans and procedures to carry out the safe Maintenance of the facilities.
They will participate in all aspects of Maintenance including, but not limited to, budgeting, scheduling, planning, purchasing, training and staffing.
This person must possess good working knowledge of environmental, Federal, and State regulations; in order to assist the Golden Pass LNG environmental, regulatory, and commercial departments as needs arise.
They will be required to perform other duties which may include conducting training, assisting in regulatory audits, providing technical advice, assisting in the preparation of presentations and technical reports, as well as interpretation of data within these reports.
The Maintenance Superintendent is a DOT covered position (PHMSA).
Key Responsibilities: Responsible for directing the planning, scheduling, and managing all maintenance activities related to plant facilities (gas turbines, boilers, compressors, HVAC, instrumentation, pumps, piping, process control, etc.
) Reviews and approves design and future maintenance for engineering and construction project proposals in order to achieve or exceed levels of production, improve maintenance troubleshooting, decrease production interruptions and improve maintenance productivity Assures through subordinate positions, that maintenance planning, scheduling, long-term maintenance certification and inspection activities including condition monitoring and major overhauls are enacted.
Assures through subordinate positions, that budgets and schedules to meet financial targets are abided.
Assures through subordinate positions, that the terminal’s predictive maintenance program for equipment is maintained and kept up to date.
Directs development of and approves contracts for maintenance related functions such as painting/coating and arranges the procurement and equipment warranty terms and contracts.
Implementation or supervision of a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
Broad knowledge of budgeting, planning, scheduling.
High level of HSE knowledge.
Large plant experience.
Performs other duties as may be assigned.
Qualifications Minimum Requirements Minimum education required of the position.
Bachelor’s or associate degree in engineering or relevant technical discipline or equivalent work experience.
Total Years’ experience required of the position.
Fifteen years (10 years supervisory) Minimum knowledge, skills and abilities required of the position.
Business and Technical Skills Required: Manage and communicate daily, monthly, and yearly Maintenance Strategy to ensure production, reliability meets terminal user need.
Ability to assist in development of employee training programs and their evaluations.
Ability to carry out an effective analysis of rotating equipment and its parts.
Strong knowledge of the various types of equipment in the facility.
A strong working relationship and collaborative partner in the interactions of maintenance activities and performance in conjunction with reliable sustained operations.
Ability to address personnel Human Resources issues from a viewpoint of fairness and practicability.
Collaborate with Engineering in development and design and modification of all terminal equipment.
Manage Maintenance elements of SHEMS (Safety, Health, Environmental Management Systems).
Competency Skills Required: Understand the various applicable Federal, state and local environmental laws, regulations, codes and standards and permits required to operate an LNG terminal and pipeline facilities.
Understand the physical properties of LNG, its processing and emergency response to any situation including releases.
The Superintendent must be accustomed to plant and industrial surroundings including process and support equipment, DCS systems, SCADA systems and Pipeline operations.
This position requires excellent troubleshooting skills along with the ability to convey knowledge to the maintenance teams and staff.
Must have a working knowledge of essential tools used for performing the administrative tasks necessary to have continued safe and reliable operations, these include but are not limited to Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Incident Reporting.

Computer savvy, including CMMS, Microsoft Office Suite consisting of Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint.
Organized and able to manage multiple activities and programs timely and with a high degree of accuracy.
Exceptional problem solving and analytical skills.
Current knowledge of Federal, state, and local environmental laws, policies and issues.
Preferred Skills: Experience working in an LNG facility.
Experience with cryogenic refrigeration, gas processing, and/or steam.
Any certificates, licenses, etc.
required for the position.
TWIC card in good standing status State issued Current and Valid Driver’s License – Pursuant to PHMSA, this is a DOT covered position with all applicable laws and regulations pertaining thereof.
