(RCI) is currently seeking experienced Industrial Laborer/Fire Watch/Hole Watch/Spotter craftpersons.
Position Summary
An Industrial Laborer/Fire Watch/Hole Watch/Spotter will assist with various manual needs of the construction work being performed including but not limited to moving equipment or materials, digging, retrieving equipment or materials, standing by for fire safety watches, spotting of operated equipment movements for safe passage, attend confined spaces as hole watches (when trained to do so), and any other miscellaneous support work instructed by a supervisor or a journeyman craft.

Position Responsibilities:
Position may perform a large range of manual activities including but not limited to moving equipment or materials, digging, retrieving equipment or materials, standing by for Fire Watch, Hole Watch, actively Spotting, and any other work instructed by a supervisor or journeyman craft
Use of fire extinguisher, inspection of fire extinguishers, and knowledge of fire extinguishers classifications for different types of fires
Climb onto structures or scaffolding as required in support of construction needs
Uses rigging and hosting devices such as chokers, chain falls, and come-alongs to move equipment/materials into place
Conducts preventive maintenance such as lubrication and fixing or repairing worn parts
Follows directions from supervisor

Basic knowledge of hand tools and power tools
Good problem-solving abilities

Physical Requirements:
Employee will be required to adhere to large amounts of standing, walking, bending, squatting, and lifting
Will talk and hear in order to communicate effectively
Must have good dexterity with hands and fingers to perform the precision adjustments of tools, machinery parts and controls
Able to use arms and hands to signal, grad, hold, turn, and push or pull objects such as materials, controls, and tools
Will be required to lift, carry and move objects up to 50 lbs in weight
Will occasionally work at heights, climb ladders and stairways, and work off platforms
May work at heights up to 300 feet utilizing proper fall protection devices
Will use vision abilities to focus, see short distances, see colors, possess depth perception and peripheral vision
Must be capable or working outdoors in the elements including but not limited to the heat, cold, rain, snow, and wind
Will be required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) including but not limited to: hard hat, safety glasses/goggles, earplugs/muffs, safety vests, gloves, steel toe/safety toe boots, and masks/respirators
