OTR Flatbed Truck Driver (Beaumont)

18 Wheeler Job Summary: The driver must be able to follow appropriate safety, ICC and DOT regulations.
They are responsible for performing pre-trip and post-trip inspections, securing loads on trailers, obeying all traffic signs.
The vehicle is a 1996 Peterbilt 377 with a 48’ flatbed.
Responsibilities will include but not limited to: • Fully understand how to operate and safely drive your assigned delivery vehicle • Drive trucks with a Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW) over 26,000lbs • Pull a towed weight exceeding 10,000lbs • Ensure trailer hitch is properly and securely attached to the tractor unit • Transport goods and general freight from the place of origin to assigned destination • Pick-up loads and organize goods in an ordered, logical manner • Obtain signatures or warehouse scans to confirm and complete deliveries with clients • Ensure timely deliveries • Communicate with dispatch as needed • Confirm contents of each shipment load matches the manifest document • Perform inspections of your vehicle prior to and following each trip • Notify supervisor of any maintenance or delivery issues encountered • Follow delivery schedule and rest at appropriate times • Maintain detailed driving and delivery logs • Track and report working hours • Obey all applicable traffic laws and drive according to the weather/road conditions • Comply with all ICC and DOT regulations • Make safety a priority at all times Basic/Required: • Must have a valid CDL Class A License • Must have a clean Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) • Be away from home for periods in excess of two weeks • Must be able to drive in all the Lower 48 states Preferred: 3+ years direct experience in Over the Road (OTR) trucking Transportation Workers Identification Card (TWIC) – Currently hold, or have the ability to obtain, within 3 months of hire date Information: Monthly Salary or Hourly Wage: $0.
