CPA - LAW FIRM CONTROLLER

*LAW FIRM CONTROLLER * Top Plaintiff Texas Law Firm seeks a CPA/Controller.
This position reports directly to the owner/founder of the firm and will interact closely with managing attorneys.
The Controller will be responsible for performing day-to-day accounting operations, month-end close, financial reporting, and various other accounting functions.

*Job Summary:* * Responsible for the preparation, review, and analysis of financial reports to summarize and forecast the company’s financial status.
* Produce and manage balance sheets and analyze future earnings and expenses.
* Management of accounting, auditing, and budgeting within the organization.
* Perform regular, detailed audits to ensure accuracy in financial documents and expenditures.
* Oversee ledger reconciliation and manage accounts payable/receivables and client settlement disbursements.
* Reconcile accounting inaccuracies or imbalances.
* Monitor bookkeeping activities regularly.
* Establish sound accounting policies and procedures.
* Ensure compliance with and prepare reports according to applicable government regulations.
* Use accounting software to maintain records and prepare reports.
* Manage Law Firm Insurance coverage and 401K benefits.
* Stay abreast of industry developments and changes in regulations.
*Education, Experience:* * Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required * CPA certification required * Minimum five years full cycle accounting experience in a corporate or law firm environment Benefits: * 401(k) * Dental insurance * Health insurance * Life insurance * Paid time off * Vision insurance Job Type: Full-time Pay: $85,000.
